To the garden !

Anjou, land of plants. Our region is sure to delight anyone who appreciates gardens. Spend a morning exploring private gardens whose owners will be happy to share their passion with you and take you on a journey through astonishing plant worlds. Learn about rose-growing in Doué-la-Fontaine, the number 1 area for roses in all of France. May and June will enchant enthusiasts thanks to the beauty and diversity of this flower of many symbols and meanings. In July and August, whole fields of rosebushes seem to unfurl their colours at each bend in the road.

Fouées night

Over the course of an evening, sample this speciality which is typical of the Saumur region. Enjoy a scrumptious meal in the Rabelaisian culinary tradition, with a focus on the wood-fired rolls and accompanied by Anjou rillettes (potted pork), peas and rillons (sautéed pork morsels). A good mood is guaranteed by the presence of a master fouacier.

Up close and personal with anjou wines

Anjou is home to hundreds of wineries, making its wine amazingly diverse. If you\'re looking for bubbly, head to Saumur. For more syrupy wine, your destination should be the Layon district. Our winemaking partners will gladly share our wine region with you, on a walk through the vines, during a tasting or through games involving the senses and aromas. Each winemaker will want to teach you about their nature-based profession. Here, you will be greeted at wineries in a real, simple and warm way. Be sure to taste our very affordable, quality wines.
